Todays Bento and Bento Mail Surprise!

C's Lunch

M's Lunch

Today has already been a great day! My girls must be going through a growth spurt or something because the amount of food I packed into their Easy Lunch Boxes containers even made me wonder how much was actually going to come back to me. I was surprised when not only did they eat everything but they asked for more. WTH? Now I am not complaining because whatever I can get into C is a blessing. She is such a picky eater and is afraid to try new foods. However ever since making the bentos not only does she eat what is put in front of her but she doesn't whine, cry or question what it is. M on the other hand is a porker and eats just about anything...lol

Todays lunches consisted of half a PB&J sami, turkey & cheese roll ups, salami w/cheese & grape tomatoes, steamed broccoli and cauliflower with a sweet snacking bell pepper. Cheese puffs and grapes, strawberries and kiwi round out this meal.

Notice my adorable panda picks and the character baran? My BFF Sharon of Mama's A Mess sent me a package and I just got it today (squeal). Not only was it full of awesome bento goodies but her and her girls went to Pikko's book signing and got me an autograph! Now Sharon being the sweetheart she is was originally planning on having Pikko sign her new book Yum Yum Bento Box for me as a surprise. The surprise was on her however when she found out I had just bought the book. So instead of giving up, her and the girls went and got this for me.....

It is perfect, I just glued it to the inside cover of my book.

She even got a picture of her adorable girls with Pikko holding my autographed paper, too cute!

After seeing Pikko they went shopping and I benefited big time. Look at all this AWESOME bento goodies she got for lil ol me....

It was like I was 5 yrs old at Christmas time. I was so excited which in turn made my girls excited who started running and screaming all over the house..lol It was a site to see. So a huge thank you and big smooch to my BFF Sharon for the awesome surprise in my mail box today!

What's for Lunch Week 7 entry!  Stop by and see what others had for lunch this past week.

Wow! What cool stuff, and how thoughtful. I don't think I know anyone who doesn't like getting packages in the mail. These lunches are very colorful and I can see why your girls would gobble them up. Great job!

That is so sweet!!!

I felt like you did today when I found out I won and I haven't even gotten them yet! Can't wait to see how I'll be once they get here. I'm sure my daughter will wonder what's wrong with me!

So nice how the simple things can mean so much!
