Now for all of those of you that have decided to stick around for the review...yay! I know the topic of sex is not a everyday conversation we have in "normal" society. Thank goodness I am not normal by some standards. I am actually very open on the topic and feel that especially we as beautiful, sexy woman should embrace our sexuality the way we want to. I have been thinking long and hard (*chuckle* no pun intended) about how to address this review. Should I be general and coy or straight up honest. I prefer the honest approach so again if you are a little squeeze in the tummy talking about sex or "marital aids" you can stop reading here.

I personally think sex is beautiful and I think being sexual, open and honest about it especially with your partner is the biggest turn on ever. Why do we as a society blush when we even think about sex? It's nothing new. It has been happening for centuries and yet we have closed off ourselves to the ultimate pleasure of it. My biggest question is why are we afraid to ask our partners for exactly what we want. I know some of you out there are as open as I am (you freaky girls) about what we want in bed or what we like, but so many are scared. Scared of what their partner may think of them if they bring up a fantasy or something different they may want to try. Why? You trust your husband, partner, lover with your secrets, your heart or even your life right? Why not trust them with your sexual cravings and desires?

"Sex shops" to me have gotten a bad wrap over the years. They are not necessarily a place for only perverts and deviants. Yes there are some less than savory characters I have seen in a few shops I have visited with my hubby, but to me I could not help but laugh because it almost made the persona true. This might be why woman do not feel comfortable about going to a brick and mortar type store. What if someone see's you walking in? What will the people inside think of you?

Muffin Tin Monday - Childrens Book/Movie

I've missed the last 2 Monday's..bummer, but we are back to it today!

Today's theme for MTM is "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs/Children's Literature".

I have not read the book but I have seen the movie trailers and it looks very cute. I was not sure what to do this week but I had a simple idea. Then I read on Michelle's blog Her Cup Overflowth, the home of MTM, about green goo. Perfect I thought because I just bought green yogurt this morning. for the girls.

So this is what we did. Mini Raviolis with mini meatballs, "fluffy clouds" made from white bread, and "roof shingles"graham crackers to dip into the green "goo" yogurt.

For my family I try to keep them as healthy as possible from the foods I buy to products I use. So I jumped at the chance to work with SIRJJ Organics. However it did give us great sun protection without feeling greasy or heavy on the skin.

SquigglyTwigsDesigns Pattern Review

I love finding new patterns from all ranges.. fun and whimsy to easy and breezy. I was glad to have the opportunity to work with Debbie from Squiggly Twigs Designs and the timing could not have been better. I was looking for an easy, can do in a day, type of dress that was not only cute but fun. This Sunday is my husbands Command Family Day and I want the girls to be stylish and comfortable.

"SquigglyTwigs is a pattern design company specializing in quick and easy, yet stylish, patterns for moms with lots to do. SquigglyTwigs Designs' name was inspired by Debbie's daughter who is lovingly twiggy in shape, with very curly hair and a personality easily described by the word squiggly. Without her created just as she is, the need to create clothing and patterns wouldn't exist and neither would SquigglyTwigs."

SquigglyTwigs has several fun designs that are reasonably priced. From dresses to skirts and pants they are great easy patterns even for beginners. Debbie let me review the Twirl Quilt Jumper. I was very excited because I have seen similar patchwork type of dresses and I always wanted to make one.

One of the best parts about this dress is that you can make it entirely from craps fabrics. I went through one of my bins of scraps and found several prints and colors that I thought would meld great together once the dress was complete. In the instructions Debbie makes mention that you can use Charm Packs instead of cutting out all the 5" squares, I think this is a fantastic idea especially if you want the dress to be coordinated.

The pattern is simple, only 12 pages of instructions and the rest is the bodice patterns in various sizes. Once my squares were all cut the construction was quick and this dress could be done in a day. I like how she used ribbon for the trim on the bodice and around the arms up to tying in a bow at each shoulder. Of course you can also use bias tape just as easy. What I have not seen yet in any other patterns that I liked about this one, is that it instructs you to gather the bodice top edge front and back which then leaves a ruffled or scalloped look, very creative.

I had fun doing this dress and plan on making M one soon. Next time I think I will go find a really cute Charm Pack instead of cutting my own squares.
