What is wicked is that Critical Mass designed it and then was awarded her own work! How funny is that. I am very honored again to have such a wonderful award from an amazing woman Veronica lee and designed and originated by Rae Ann!

4. I think I have a good sense of humor...all though some times I wonder ;)

5. C loves it when she can ask mommy to make her a new dress...and I do it.

6. I can fire a weapon accurately from 50-75 feet...don't think of coming to my house unexpected..haha

7. Honestly, I don't know what makes me awesome, I just do what I do, and what I do, I love.

Am I Rockin It?

I got some yummy mail the other day! During the UBP 2009 I won a item from Jaybird Designs. If you remember my post (and if not click here), I chose the Neapolitan Flapper Beanie. I wondered if I would be able to ware a hat/beanie. Never been one of those girls that looked adorable waring anything on my head, but because I loved this design and the colors so much I thought hell why not.

So not only was I surprised by the beautiful beanie but she also included a set of handmade hairpins! Wow what a surprise and they are as gorgeous as the beanie. Jennifer does amazing work. I am not a knitter, I wish I was sometimes especially after getting this in the mail, but I know quality work and she does it! So make sure to check her out. She also has a blog where she posted a fantastic blanket she did for her daughters silent action that will just melt you heart.

Showing Some Love

"You like me, you really like me" as I run to the stage, blowing kisses to strangers then tripping on my dress and face planting into the stage as the paparazzi snaps a picture of me on the floor with my dress up over my head (you know that's how it would happen) but I'm okay. I proceed.

*add sounds of paper rustling as I get my acceptance speech from my pocket, hands shaking, vision still blurry from the fall*

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am so honored to be given not one but two amazing awards. I never expected so soon in my blogging, mind expanding quest that I would receive a award so soon. This is even better because it comes from my peer, my buddy, my peeps Veronica Lee - OF MICE AND raMEN. Do you not just love the name of her blog? Anyways Veronica has a great blog, filled with so many pictures (you all know how I love pictures) and cute little stories. I see today her newest post is about a White Peacock which is just GORGIOUS!!

Oh my where do I begin.. this chick rocks! Thanks to SITS for having her as the FB today.
Carma of Carma Sez is a self admitted proud Honda Element owner, Cheeseball loving, wife to a man who plays the piano with 2 fingers (although he has 10), Adams Family, useless fact retaining, mommy to a bounce juggeling VC, Aquarise that can barely stay afloat, woman who has been maced before, funny, funny lady!

Just reading her profile made me laugh...hot coffee almost came out my nose (which would suck). She has a "20 facts about me", which I took the liberity of using my favorites to decribe her. She has more personality in one post to keep you laughing all day. She uses great, funny pictures to illistrate her posts. I have already gone through April's posts and are coming to the end of March. I just can't stop reading!

YCMT Review & Giveaway!! My First Review!!

I was asked by Courtney from You Can Make This if I would like to do a Review & Giveaway of one of their sites favorite eBooks "Personalized Name Pillows" by Kimberbell Kids. Well this was an easy answer for me because I already own and love this eBook! The pattern is simple, the directions are fantastic and easy to follow. You don't even need an embroidery machine to make it, you use your sewing machine on the zig zag stitch and your set! One of my most favorite things about the pattern is all the step by step pictures. I am a visual type of person so anything with great pictures piques my interest and keeps me motivated. This is truly a great pattern for any sewing level and they are just so darn cute!

Back in March I received an email from Madison at Celebrity Chitt. She had been to Sew Fierce and asked if I would be interested in participating in a celebrity baby shower. Can't Help But Laugh

I just had to share a couple funny things my eldest daughter C did today. It goes along with that whole "kids say the darnedest things". This morning I'm dressing to go to the doctors and my youngest M has picked up a bra from the floor and is watching me put on my other one and decides she is going to try it out too. C comes walking into the room and stops, looks at M with a very puzzled look as M is all tied up in the bra straps, looks up at me and watches for a moment, then turns back to M and says " you can't ware that you don't have big muscles". ROFL! I about died, I had to run out to my husband and share.

Later in the day C wanted to go water the lawn with daddy (granted it has been raining) so she goes and put her shoes on. As she stands in front of me I notice her shoes are on the wrong feet. I point out the shoes to C....she looks down at her feet, crosses her left foot over her right foot and says with much authority "there, now their right!" Oh my, where do they come up with these things!

Well I didn't win the Firefly Shop Giveaway: The Zojirushi Mini Bento , but my close girlfriend Sharon from Mama's A Mess did! So congrats to my girl for winning, you deserve it. I have to say though I am a little jealous, but thanks for the shout out about seeing the giveaway on my blog :)

Blog Etiquette: Is there such a thing?

Just as their is etiquette in the real world, there is most defiantly etiquette here in the blogosphere I have come to love. I have met really amazing bloggers since mine has been up and running and continue to meet more and more everyday. That is the great part of this whole community we have here and while I have not personally had any of my blog friends or visitors ever be nothing but wonderful to me, I have to say that I have seen some what I would call "no no's" out in the blog world. So I thought for the new bloggers out there that are still getting their feet wet I would post my top 4 pet peeves that I personally find bad etiquette.

1) Be yourself, be creative: NEVER steal another bloggers words, pictures, buttons, ect without their permission. Find your own voice and be creative. While it is good to update your blog at least once a week, if you do not have anything to post about please do not think it is okay to steal posts or ideas from someone else just so you give the illusion your blog is hot. I'm not saying you should post just anything...not everyone may want to know how many times you pee'd today but i'm sure you can find something in your life or the city around you to blog about.


2) Give Props: The wonderful thing about blogging is having new people come checkout your site and you going to theirs. If you find something on another blog that interests you always link back and give props. We build ourselves up by visiting each other. DO NOT be selfish. I always try to make sure that if I find something on another blog that I want to post about I not only put the name of the blog, but always hyperlink back to them. Just like me, the other bloggers work very hard to find new sites, products, giveaways and it is only good etiquette to let everyone know about them.

3) Respond: Always try to respond to your commenters. They took the time to stop by your blog, so it's only fair you do the same. Responding back is also a great way to find new blogs you never knew about and if you do...do not forget rule #2!

4) Comment: Simple, if you read something and you liked it, found a picture beautiful or just to say hi to someone new... COMMENT! Don't be afraid. You might find a new friend and or you might make that blogger smile knowing you visited.

So there you have it, my Top 4. It is of course just my opinions but from the bloggers I have talked to it seems to be a pretty universal feeling.
